All you stoners out there, we’ve got some bad news for you. You know all those times in school when an exam didn’t go so well, and you went off in a corner somewhere to lighten up the mood by lighting up? Turns out, all that marijuana smoking may be the very reason you couldn’t think straight and couldn’t string two coherent sentences together on your exam. Scientists have conducted a new study and they now say that smoking Cannabis permanently alters the brain, and lowers intelligence.
Researchers found persistent users of the drug, who started smoking it at school, had lower IQ scores as adults.
They were also significantly more likely to have attention and memory problems in later life, than their peers who abstained.
Furthermore, those who started as teenagers and used it heavily, but quit as adults, did not regain their full mental powers, found academics at King’s College London and Duke University in the US.

We know this news will come as a disappointment to many pot-smoking libs, libertarians, and mother earth types out there. If you want brain damage, then go right ahead and hit that bong. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.
