A man who taught youngsters at Duke University now faces underage porn charges, the Herald Sun reports.

The man, with Duke University’s Talent Identification Program, was arrested after he allegedly was found on a computer website known for underage pornography, the paper reports.

The man, 35-year-old Andrew Campbell, also taught English at Wake Technical Community College, according to Capt. Don Hamilton of the Cary Police Department.
Hamilton said an undercover operation led police to Campbell’s apartment. … Police said they found user “Mr. Silk 77” on a site with chat rooms titled “jailbait” and “incest.”
According to Hamilton, police tracked pornographic photos of children in sexual and disturbing images to the Internet Protocol computer address of “Mr. Silk 77,” which led them to Campbell.
Keith Lawrence, director of media relations at Duke University, confirmed … Campbell taught “short classes” through TIP and that he recently resigned.
Lawrence said Campbell worked at Duke intermittently since July 2011. He said he worked with about 135 students 10 years old and older.
‘Duke conducts thorough screenings on all potential hires,’ Lawrence said. ‘There were no concerns that surfaced during the screening process or during his part-time seasonal employment at Duke.’
… Campbell … is charged with 12 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
