Students for Life, a national pro-life student organization, has released a series of disturbing undercover videos in which pharmacies sell the Plan B emergency contraceptive pill (also known as the “morning after pill” or “abortion pill”) to an admitted statutory rapist.

In the video, a 33-year-old man and an under-aged 15-year-old girl enter a series of pharmacies. The man, posing as the girl’s sexual partner, tells the employees that he is in an illegal sexual relationship with the under-aged girl and is buying the pill for her. Nevertheless, the pharmacies are willing to sell him the Plan B pill. In some cases the man even tells the employees he wants to force her to take the pill against her will.

Despite the fact that the pill will be use to cover up statutory rape, the pharmacies sold the man the pills anyway.

In a press release, Kristen Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, said the videos prove that Plan B needs tighter regulations: “While supporters of Plan B are adamant about the drug’s access to anyone, statutory rapists can use this powerful drug to easily get away with their crimes by casually purchasing it for their underage victims with no one none the wiser, including the parents. This is illegal and could be prevented with common sense restrictions on the sale of the Plan B.”

By law, Plan B is available over the counter without a doctor’s prescription.

“Patterns of abuse could easily emerge with the sale of Plan B being so accessible to men who want to cover up their crimes with underage girls,” Hawkins added. “This is about protecting women and young girls, something the pro-abortion lobby has no intention of doing since they are so set on anyone getting access to a drug that puts young women in harm’s way.”
