This made the Front page of Reddit on Wednesday under the “WTF” category.
It’s a photo of a promotional poster for a University of Arizona campus cafe that boasts a hot chocolate drink adorned with a “gender neutral marshmallow snow being.”
And you thought campus political correctness couldn’t get any more ridiculous. Either that, or they’re trying to be funny. And if so, Mission Accomplished.
It’s obviously a dated shot, but a current University of Arizona student told The College Fix they’ve seen the poster in the past and it’s legit.
“Yeah! That shop has been doing that since I started at UA but it’s been replaced by this Louisiana themed cafe called CCs. I’ll let you know if they do it again! Or something similar.”
Apparently the poster always created a buzz.
“I honestly don’t know what it was. It was never explained, no one ever talked about it,” the student adds. “Every time the sign would come up people would explode social media, no one ever responded. I always just thought it was a marketing thing, funny, shock factor or just gender equality.”
Or they took the customer is always right mantra waaaayyy too far.
