Colleges: Broke but Still Spending Wildly on Diversity

In Michael Barone’s column today he tackles the hypocrisy of colleges that are running huge deficits but still manage to spend millions creating useless, highly-paid positions such as the new “vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion” at UC San Diego.

Heather Mac Donald is quoted in the article, commenting on the absurdity of creating this new position, in the midst of crushing economic shortfalls, and on top of an “already massive diversity apparatus.”

Nothing like a university to waste money in the name of melanin-obsessed multiculturalism.

What if colleges actually spent their budgets on education, rather than indoctrination?

At many schools registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans on the faculty by ratios of 10 to 1, or even 20 to 1. That tells you that they aren’t really interested in “diversity” of ideas at all. “Diversity,” at most colleges, is a mere code word for racial quotas, or sexual orientation agendas, and making sure as many students as possible turn into voting liberals by the time they graduate.

Considering how state schools like UC San Diego fund most of their budgets with tax dollars, the way they waste money on projects that amount to little more than left-wing brainwashing is an outrage to every working, tax-paying American.
