Four of the ‘Best Cities for New Grads’ Are in Texas

Where should you live if you want to get a good start in your career? Consider the Lone Star state.

Bloomberg Businessweek has released its list of the best cities for new college graduates. And four of the top ten are in Texas!

The ranking takes into account “average salary, unemployment rate, cost of living, number of entry-level job postings and city life.”

Four Texas cities made the top ten, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and Fort Worth.

Low taxes and business-friendly policies have made the state an attractive headquarters for many companies, and a growing hub for hi-tech jobs.

Plus there’s no state income tax.

If you are about to graduate, and can’t find a decent job in New York, Chicago, or California, maybe you should look at Texas.

Go ahead–buy some boots and a ten gallon hat while you’re at it.
