Google Glass Gets Really Creepy – In A Word – Porn

Google Glass merged with porn? Yikes. Gross. Disturbing.

And, as one tech writer put it: “As predictable as the ending of every porn scene.”

Can you image a bunch of people walking around town watching porn in the corner of their eyes? But that’s not only within the realm of possibility, it’s “imminent,” according to a recent report.

“MiKandi making Google Glass porn, app imminent,” blared a recent headline on ZDNet.com.

“Obviously, Glass is perfect for shooting POV video, so we’re experimenting with that first,” MiKandi’s co-founder Jennifer McEwen told the tech website. “But what’s really interesting about Glass is that it’s not just a hands free camera. It can receive and send data, so there are a lot of interesting interactions that we want to explore.”

Long and the short of it? Interactive 3D porn.

Google Glass, by the way, is a yet-to-be-released-to-the-general-public hands free/smart phone of sorts that people can wear like glasses to record things before them, watch videos in the corner of their eyes, and via verbal commands send texts, post things on social media sites, and other tasks – all while walking around living life.

The privacy and Big Brother concerns are rampant regarding the technology, with reports of its facial recognition technology capabilities and ability to record people without them knowing sounding alarms.

The Bipartisan Congressional Privacy Caucus, for example, sent Google a letter this month warning them about their concerns, citing a Wall Street Journal article which noted: “It will be only a matter of time until you’ll be able to aim the lens of your [Google Glass] device at his or her face, and using face recognition technology get the individual’s address, work history, marital status, measurements and hobbies.”

The implications are scary, and really creepy.
