Brandeis University professors have been posting anti-Semitic rants among many others – including referring to Barack Obama as “President Obomber” – on a secret faculty listserv since 2002, according to an expose by a Brandeis student on Breitbart.
Founded to bring “the traditional Jewish commitment to education” to America, Brandeis apparently employs many professors who mock its own Jewish leaders, according to the Washington Free Beacon:
Slurs against Brandeis’s Jewish leadership, including former university President Jehuda Reinharz, are a common theme on the listserv, where Reinharz and his wife are referred to as “Mein Leader und Frau.”
During one 2009 discussion about “Israel and our organs”—which focuses on a blood libel accusing Israelis of harvesting organs—politics Professor Donald Hindley refers to the “Reinharz’ shetl” and offers to send fellow listserv members a picture of his penis.
“As an inhabitant of the not-yet-history Reinharz’ shetl, there remain important questions [about the organ harvesting], at least for me an an [sic] immigrant with his manhood still unmutilated [sic] [photos if desired],” Hindley writes.
The Daily Caller keeps going on Hindley:
In another email with the subject line, “Israel and Our Organs,” Hindley peddles anti-Semitic libels and suggests that if he were to die, his organs would be taken by Israel and be “of use to His people, recycled as (non-Kosher, I hope but money does corrupt us all, as witness the Jewish Orthodox occupiers of Palestinian territory) sausages-frankfurters -weenies-erstwhile hot dogs.” He also goes further in another email, “We are at a Jew-controlled and -financed university that from Day One has been self-declared ‘liberal’ and ‘progressive.’”
Hindley even referred to “schwarzes” – a Yiddish term of contempt for black people.
English professor Mary Baine Campbell savaged the women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali, whom Brandeis unceremoniously dumped as its commencement speaker and withdrew her honorary degree after faculty went up in arms:
“Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims to have had a difficult early life, and it may be true. However, she’s an ignorant, ultra-right-wing extremist, abusively, shockingly vocal in her hatred for Muslim culture and Muslims, a purveyor of the dangerous and imaginary concept, born of European distaste for the influx of immigrants from its former colonies, ‘Islamofascism’ …
“To honor someone at graduation who is notorious for inciting hate, defending violence and insulting the bearers of one of the world’s most populous faiths, including many students and faculty, not to mention parents, is not ‘hosting.’ It’s complicity in defamation,” she added.
Naturally, the school is in damage-control mode:
“The opinions expressed by individual faculty members do not reflect the opinions of Brandeis University,” Ellen de Graffenreid, the university’s senior vice president for communications, told the Free Beacon in a statement.
