Attack of the leftist mob: The College Fix’s Campus Roundup (Ep. 6)

A series of recent articles penned by College Fix reporter Michael Jones highlight a disturbing trend on college campuses nationwide: mob rule.

In his article “Reed College to revise Western Civ class after protests call it too ‘Caucasoid’ and ‘Eurocentric,'” it chronicles how a group called Reedies Against Racism was able to aggressively crash and protest a longtime humanities class on great thinkers such as Plato and Aristotle long enough to convince faculty to change the syllabus to include authors of color.

In his article “White male Republican student president under fire as progressive peers demand his ouster,” he chronicles how a leftist, antifa-inspired mob has been able to galvanize Texas State against their white, male conservative campus president over 4-year-old social media posts in poor taste. Ironically, the guy leading the mob against this president has called for the death of white people.

And his article “Male student accused of misogyny for criticizing campus program that rarely hires men” details how a young man at Dartmouth has been vilified by dozens of campus left-leaning groups merely for pointing out that a popular campus program hires more women than men.

These campus leftist mobs wield incredible power, seemingly unaware of their own mean spirited bullying, and justifying their aggressive intimidation tactics in the name of social justice. They care not for the lives they ruin or the mess they leave in their wake. Even the Left is not free of their wrath, as that class at Reed was taught by progressive professors who could not stand up to the mob’s demands for authors who “look like them.”
