Proposed Bill Would Outlaw Swearing At Arizona Campuses

An Arizona legislator has proposed a bill that would require the termination of professors who use foul language in lecture halls. The bill is unsurprisingly opposed by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. FIRE president Greg Lukianoff called it “the most hilariously unconstitutional piece of legislation I’ve seen in quite some time.”

The Huffington Post noted that students who are legally able to buy cigarettes and watch porn probably don’t need protection from swearing in the classroom.
