Students explain why they don’t want to honor Christopher Columbus

The list of grievances against Christopher Columbus remains long among college students.

Case in point: PragerU’s Will Witt recently asked students at Wake Forest University about the famous explorer, and their answers were not exactly positive.

Replies such as “he kicked some foreigners out of their homeland” and “he was a pretty terrible person” were among the mix. Although one student seemed supportive of marking the day, noting the landmark journey across the ocean blue was an important part of the American heritage, he was definitely in the minority.
