Sophia Buono is a research assistant in the American Enterprise Institute’s Education Policy Department. A 2017 summer College Fix journalism fellow, she worked at USA Today. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where she majored in the Program of Liberal Studies and minoring in Education, Schooling, and Society. Throughout her college career, she worked as writer, managing editor, and editor-in-chief for the Irish Rover independent student newspaper.
