The COVID-19 pandemic prompted colleges and universities in mid-March to shut down campuses and switch to distance learning for the rest of the spring 2020 semester. With that, they sent most students packing.
While campus officials have offered some room and board refunds, they have stopped short of giving students any sort of tuition refund. In response, some universities were recently hit with class-action lawsuits by students who argue they are entitled to partial tuition refunds.
The lawsuits argue online learning is not equal to the classroom experience. What do you think?
