First Lady Michelle Obama spent the weekend in Hollywood, making appearances at two celebrity-packed fundraising events where ticket prices ranged from $2,500 to a whopping $25,000.
Meanwhile President Obama spent the weekend raking in millions at similar high-dollar events in his hometown of Chicago, events one assumes only the wealthy could possibly afford to attend. At one event, supporters paid $40,000 to attend.
With no apparent sense of irony, the president accused his Republican opponents on Sunday of aligning themselves with “the wealthiest Americans.”
