Freedom isn’t free.
Today, men and women in the armed forces risk their lives to defend and protect America and all it stands for: freedom, justice, liberty.
But there are many who have paid the ultimate price for the Republic we hold dear. And today – we salute the fallen men and women who sacrificed their lives so we could enjoy ours.
As the global war on terror continues, we remember the fallen who have died so that we may live in freedom and free from fear on America’s shores. We also recall the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who fought and died in Desert Shield, Korea, Vietnam, World War I and II – and all the other battles to protect and preserve this great nation.
They are the true American heroes, the ones we can forever look up to.
We will never forget.
