Hillary Clinton Trounces Jeb Bush in GWU Favorability Poll

A new George Washington University Battleground poll shows Republican favorite Jeb Bush trailing Hillary Clinton by a wide margin in a head-to-head match up. Mrs. Clinton’s favorable rating comes in at 54 percent, vs. 36 percent for Jeb Bush.

Nevertheless, a head to head battle against Clinton might be Jeb Bush’s best chance to win the White House, reports the Christian Science Monitor, since it would eliminate the dynasty question for Bush:

But don’t assume that will discourage Mr. Bush, the former two-term governor of Florida, from getting into the 2016 presidential race. Actually, those Jeb_Bush_by_Gage_SkidmoreWMCnumbers might encourage Bush to jump in, says Republican pollster Ed Goeas. He was speaking Tuesday at a breakfast hosted by The Christian Science Monitor.

“All of a sudden, it’s no longer ‘too many Bushes,’ ” says Mr. Goeas, who conducts the Battleground Poll with Democrat Celinda Lake. “It becomes two very powerful political families going up against each other.”
