The president’s handling of the economy has become a liability in his bid for re-election. Only a third of Americans give the president good or excellent marks for handling the economy, according to the latest Rasumssen daily tracking poll. Meanwhile, 49% say he’s done a poor job in this area.
Mitt Romney has made the struggling U.S. economy the focus of his bid to unseat the president.
