Marieke Desmond is the owner of Mighty Slingshot and policy strategist for Salinas Basin Water Alliance. A 2015 spring College Fix fellow, Marieke worked at USA Today. She is a graduate of Hillsdale College. Her previous editorial experience includes serving as editor-in-chief of The Hillsdale Collegian and interning at The Washington Times. She also worked as a writer for Senator Ben Sasse (R., Nebraska).
