Sophia Martinson is a culture writer based in northern Virginia. As a 2017 summer College Fix journalism fellow, she worked at USA Today. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she worked as writer, managing editor, and editor-in-chief for the Irish Rover independent student newspaper. She then worked as an editorial assistant at The Weekly Standard and as a research assistant in education policy at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC.
