University May Be Held Liable for Student Suicide

A federal judge has ruled that Cornell University is liable for the suicide death of one of its students, 18-year-old Bradley Ginsburg, who leaped to his death from a bridge near campus in February 2010.

Ginsberg’s father is suing for $168 million in damages, alleging that that the university-owned bridge had insufficient safety railings.
