Breaking Campus News. Launching Media Careers.
The College Fix is growing in 2017 — and we need your support

The College Fix was founded six years ago to empower bright and eager young conservative and libertarian student journalists across the country.

That vision has transformed into a reality — and sweeping success. Every year we have grown: more student reporters (dozens spanning the nation), more articles (every day we post original, student-reported work), more page views and unique visitors (millions and millions annually).

Our articles are picked up by Drudge Report, Fox News, National Review, New York Post, and many, many other outlets, too many to cite!

The College Fix is the leading student-reported online campus newswire for right-of-center higher education news and analysis. They’re student reporters mentored by veteran editors, producing trustworthy, compelling reports on the state of higher education today.

Every day my colleagues and I work closely with these aspiring journalists, brainstorming story ideas, editing their work, helping them become reporters who go on to work in newsrooms after graduation.

Most of our alumni continue to thrive with careers in the media. And so often students reach out to us and thank us for the guidance and mentorship and opportunities we provided along their path.

On a personal note, as a journalist with nearly two decades’ worth of experience reporting for local and national news outlets, it’s an honor and a blessing to now work side-by-side with these budding student journalists — encouraging them, guiding them. These young people give me such hope that America’s greatest years may still be ahead. They are bright, driven and talented and I am so glad we are here to nurture that potential.

In 2017, we plan to build on our platform, expanding the number of fellowships we offer and deepening the mentoring and professional development resources we offer to students.

That’s where you come in. We need your help. We pay our student reporters per article. For that, we make sure they work hard, interview a variety of sources, and really put time, energy, focus and talent into each article. We publish well-written, well-edited articles.

Next year, we plan to continue to publish interesting and unique reports on higher education, and we hope to offer more of it! If you would like to be a part of what we do, please consider us during your end-of-year giving with a tax-deductible contribution, either securely online or to our PO Box.

Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this request. We are excited for another year of fantastic student journalism. Happy New Year.
