The website of the late conservative journalist Andrew Breitbart has released footage of President Obama as a law student at Harvard. The video shows Obama giving an introductory speech on behalf of Derrick Bell, the first black tenured professor at Harvard. Bell became known for protesting Harvard due to insufficient racial diversity among its faculty members.
Before its release, the video was hyped as something that would damage Obama’s image and hurt his re-election chances. However, reactions so far have been mixed. Conservative journalist Ben Shapiro called the video a “smoking gun,” and proof of Obama’s history as a leader of radical leftists. The Huffington Post called the footage “not particularly controversial.”
