Anti-ICE image on campus at U. Wisconsin; Wisconsin College Republicans/X

Key Takeaways

  • University of Wisconsin police are investigating images on campus depicting violence against ICE agents, including hand-drawn images of agents being shot in the head with violent phrases.
  • Members of conservative organizations, such as Turning Point USA and Wisconsin College Republicans, have expressed feeling threatened and claim that violent rhetoric against conservatives is becoming more prevalent on campus.

University of Wisconsin police are investigating images posted on campus of an ICE agent being shot in the head.

One hand-drawn image shows blood gushing out of an agent’s head with the words “speak their language.”

The image also reads, “you can’t vote away facism.”

A similar image on campus also shows an agent being shot in the head. The man, dressed in an “ICE” shirt, has blood streaming from his head, according to Fox News.

“The only good fascist is a dead one,” the image on a post reads.

“It was in this area called Memorial Library, and my first reaction was, well, I’m in a university, so I wasn’t too surprised,” one Turning Point USA member at UW told Fox News.

“I kind of felt disgusted, and I felt that it was a very harmful message to be sending to college kids, especially in a very, I guess, politically biased or politically charged university,” the student said.

The student also said he “felt threatened” because “violence against people who are considered right-wingers are kind of normalized in this campus.”

He added that professors at the school “paint right-wingers or conservative Christians or nationalists in a very, very bad light.”

Further, Nick Jacobs, chairman of the Wisconsin College Republicans and a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, told Fox News that violent rhetoric has surfaced several times across the UW system since the Sept. 10 assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

“I mean, it’s really bad,” he said. “It’s almost celebrated among students to write threatening things about college Republicans, about ICE agents, about Republicans.”

Wisconsin College Republicans also shared images on X of graffiti around Madison carrying similar messages.

“Antifa’s graffiti covers Madison. If they’re designated as a terrorist organization, @AGPamBondi and the DOJ need to act now. The Left will continue to be emboldened following Charlie Kirk’s assassination if nothing happens,” the group wrote.

Following Kirk’s assassination, one conservative Wisconsin professor spoke up to condemn the university’s silence.

“There should have immediately been a press release from every school in the United States condemning this act of ideological violence … Instead, hundreds of professors and students celebrated and continue to celebrate,” UW Professor Trevor Tomesh wrote on Facebook in September.
