Colleges Host Academic Fraud, Fake Native American, Ward Churchill

Ward Churchill, the controversial academic who once headed up the ethnic studies program at the University of Colorado Boulder and who once described the victims of the 9/11 bombing at the World Trade Center as “little Eichmanns,” was invited to speak at the Claremont colleges near L.A on November 14th.

Churchill was fired from his position at CU Boulder after a long legal battle. His career came under scrutiny following the “little Eichmanns” comment. A subsequent university investigation found Churchill guilty of falsifying research and plagiarism. In addition, it was revealed that Churchill had lied in his claims to Native American ancestry.

Former Fix contributor Charles C. Johnson reports in the Daily Caller:

“After Churchill lied about being a member of the Keetoowah band, the tribe said that all of Churchill’s “past, present and future claims or assertions of Keetoowah ‘enrollment,’ written or spoken, including but not limited to; biographies, curriculum vitae, lectures, applications for employment, or any other reference not listed herein, are deemed fraudulent by the United Keetoowah Band.”

Why is it that liberal colleges and universities continue to invite a disgraced plagiarist and academic fraud to address their students? Why do they pay him money to come spout his vile anti-American views?

Come to think of it–maybe we just answered our own question.
