Bowling Green student pleads guilty to vandalizing pro-life center

Pro-abortion student spraypainted ‘Abort God’ on pregnancy center

A Bowling Green State University student pleaded guilty to vandalizing a pro-life pregnancy resource center.

The student, who uses the name Whitney Durant and Soren Monroe, “pleaded guilty today to a misdemeanor charge under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which prohibits a person from intentionally damaging or destroying the property of a facility because that facility provides reproductive health services,” according to the Department of Justice.

Durant could be sentenced to one year in prison during the April 2024 hearing.

The student “intentionally damaged the property of HerChoice, a pregnancy center located in Bowling Green, Ohio, by defacing the clinic’s building, spray painting the words, ‘LIARS,’ ‘Fund Abortion,’ ‘Abort God,’ and ‘Jane’s Revenge,” the DOJ stated. “Durant was a Bowling Green State University student at the time of the incident.”

Durant/Monroe is a “former patient” of the pro-life center and praised the “direct action” community members took against the nonprofit that provides free services to women and families in need in a video posted the day after the vandalism. It was not known at the time that Durant/Monroe was responsible for the vandalism.

The DOJ has been under fire for criticism it has primarily used the FACE Act against pro-life individuals while largely ignoring violence by abortion activists.

“Defacing facilities that provide reproductive health services will not be tolerated in our society,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division stated in the news release. “The Justice Department is committed to enforcing the FACE Act to protect all patients who seek reproductive health services and all persons and facilities that provide such services.”

The abortion activist reportedly had a history of harassing pro-life students at BGSU and created a socialist group called Bowling Green Students Right Union.

The activist is reportedly transgender. Given that this person describes themselves as a “former patient” of a pro-life pregnancy resource center, it seems likely they are actually a woman. “Just a commie trying to spread the gay agenda,” the abortion supporter’s Facebook states.

“Total liberation.” “[A]ll pronouns.”
