DEI requirements, free speech battles, cancel culture: College Fix editor talks top campus concerns in 2022

College Fix editor Jennifer Kabbany recently joined Cherise Trump, Speech First’s executive director, to discuss the top concerns facing college campuses during the fall 2022 semester.

One of the top issues is the requirement that scholars pledge fealty to diversity, equity and inclusion to be hired or gain tenure. Campus cancel culture incidents also continue to pile up. And the battle for free speech and academic freedom in higher education is still raging.

“Offensive speech is still free speech,” Kabbany said during the “Well Said” podcast, pointing out that progressive college students continue to suffer under the delusion the they have the right not to be offended.
