Fort Lewis College student Nova Mollett questioned by police officer; Quick Scope News/YouTube

More fallout following Fort Lewis College student gov. meeting in which former professor screamed ‘Nazis,’ gave finger

Yet another instance of intolerance from Fort Lewis College progressives has come to light in the wake of the school’s student government’s decision to approve a Turning Point USA chapter.

The College Fix previously reported on Fort Lewis Professor Emeritus David Kozak going on an angry profanity-laced rant following the vote, calling people “Nazis” and giving the (middle) finger.

A recent Daily Mail report notes Kozak wasn’t the only one who let disappointment get the best of him; non-binary Fort Lewis student Megan Mollett, who goes by “Nova” and uses “they/them” pronouns, allegedly assaulted 66 year-old Dave Peters, the former chair of the La Plata County Republican Party.

In the official police report, Peters claimed Mollett was yelling “f*ck you” “repeatedly” after the student gov. vote, and when Mollett saw Peters she gave him the finger “and said ‘f*uck you’ again.”

Mollett subsequently took offense at Peters using his phone to record (in close proximity) “them” and thus “began to strike Peters with [“their”] phone and hand, while also holding ‘an empty Taco Bell cup.'”

From the story:

Peters told Fox News after the incident that he did not want to press charges against Mollet, but hoped the university would discipline her.

‘After they adjourned the meeting and the people started walking out, about 20 of us started clapping and then there was a fair amount of students that were booing,’ he said.

Then, right after that, there was this 55-year-old or 60-year-old guy [Kozak] that later we found out he was a former professor at Fort Lewis College, and he started to come up to me, and he said, you’re a Nazi, you are a fascist and kept on repeating that.’

In the police report, Fort Lewis College PD’s Isaac Tillery (who consistently used Mollett’s preferred pronouns) told Mollett “they” needed to “remain calm and take a breath.” He also informed Mollett “they” could face charges of harassment and assault.

Fort Lewis College refused to comment on whether Mollett would, as Peters requested, face discipline at the school level citing FERPA protections. It did say it “takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and follows established disciplinary procedures.”
