The College Fix seeks a full-time investigative reporter to focus on higher education. The job will involve monitoring and exposing political correctness and threats to free speech, plus the filing of Freedom of Information Act requests for data-driven articles that will hold colleges and universities accountable for their actions. This is not a news-aggregation gig: Our reporter will perform original work, breaking stories that shape the way people think about campus life and culture.
The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience as a working journalist, the ability to juggle multiple assignments of varying complexity, and a willingness to travel occasionally. The job is virtual—our staff lives all over the country—and salary is commensurate with experience.
