Has history of controversial statements

It recently was revealed that a “pan queer bad ass” school librarian in Nevada filed a police report after a district trustee posted online that she prayed for children to be protected from pornography.

Nichole Beer, an elementary-level librarian in Nevada’s Clark County School District and library science instructor at UNLV, apparently took issue with Trustee Lydia Dominguez’s May Instagram post stating “I pray for the children exposed to pornographic material in libraries. In Jesus name cleanse these libraries from all evil,” according to Libs of TikTok on X.

Based on her trustee bio, Dominguez is a native of Mexico, became an American citizen in her teens, and served in the United States Air Force. The Las Vegas Review-Journal notes she’s a former member of the group Moms for Liberty, to which Beer is vehemently opposed.

Based on what appears to be her official police statement (in which she misspells “material” and “employee”), Beer (pictured) wrote she saw Dominguez’s post during her lunch break and noted “she [Beer] could be prosecuted” for making her statement.

In response to Libs of TikTok’s reporting, Beer recently created a video of various screencap reactions, along with the message “If you think I will stop fighting censorship….you’ll need more than this.”

She also included lyrics from the Mariah Carey song “Obsessed”: “I don’t flinch, ever … Run up, cause I am not a scary ass bitch. Run up …”

Beer’s TikTok account is full of (controversial) education-related media.

The Nevada Globe reported in 2023 that Beer is a fundraiser for the organization Defense of Democracy, formed “to push back against school board candidates” backed by the “far-right” Moms for Liberty.

DoD considers Moms for Liberty and similar groups “terrorists,” “Christo-facscists,” and “Klansmen,” according to the report.

DoD created a pledge to “protect our public schools, our children, and our country” which Beer brought to the attention of Clark County Superintendent Jesús Jara. He signed it as a “non-binding” measure.

The pledge states in part that one will “champion the civil rights of my fellow Americans, with a heightened commitment to marginalized communities currently under attack,” and “celebrate” the local community’s “diverse mosaic” of “religions, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations.”

The pledge does “affirm” the role of parents in their children’s education, but notes such must be “in the spirit” of a “shared responsibility and partnership with educators.”

The final pledge states parents must recognize that “classroom and library materials should be entrusted to qualified education professionals.”

Clark County district policy prohibits teachers and staff from “showing ‘Rated R’ electronic content to students”; however, sexually graphic books such as “Gender Queer” and “Flamer” are “readily available,” according to the Globe.

Last year, Beer was expelled from the local teachers union and sued for defamation by a pair of union officials. On her now-defunct X account, Beer allegedly referred to one of the officials as a “pedo,” and claimed the other supported him by “covering up” how he beat a “bare naked student on his a—.”

Oddly enough, Beer also had tweeted “because it’s true, you’ll never hear of me getting sued. Come for me.”
