GW YAF to protest Obama’s visit to George Washington

YAF has announced they will be protesting GW’s speaker bias today, at President Obama’s ‘Moving America Forward’ event at 7 p.m.

Travis Korson, President of GW’s YAF Chapter said, “It is really unfortunate how our administration is openly sympathetic to liberal causes while ignoring the largest political group in the country, conservatives. The fact that the University is openly hosting an event with the Democratic National Committee clearly illustrates the GW Administration’s willingness to openly promote the progressive agenda on campus.”

GW has so far hosted a plethora of top people from Obama’s administration recently, including Michelle Obama, Rahm Emmanuel and David Plouffe, but failed to host anyone in an official capacity during all eight years of President Bush’s time in office.

The protesters will be congregating at 7 p.m. in Kogan Plaza, right next to the Marvin Center where President Obama will be speaking.

Hugo F. Scheckter is the managing editor of the GW Patriot. He is a contributor to the Student Free Press Association.
