College Fix editor Jennifer Kabbany joined the Lars Larson Show this week to discuss a University of Washington professor who is fighting mandated speech.
Professor Stuart Reges disagrees with the required “land acknowledgement” statement that university officials require class syllabi to have, which says UW is on land unjustly taken from the Coast Salish tribe.
Kabbany discussed how this is an issue of academic freedom and that land acknowledgement statements overlook the frequent conquest of property even between Native American tribes.
