The elite, private University of Southern California recently hosted its annual Sex Week observance, with festivities that included doling out “comprehensive kink guides” and a “dildo-making contest.”

USC’s 5-year-old Sex Week observance is organized and hosted by USC Student Health along with the student government, the Sex Education and Advocacy Group, and Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment.

This year’s celebration, which ran from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23, aimed to allow students to ask questions, explore their curiosities, and learn about safe sex and relationships, according to organizers.

The Daily Trojan student newspaper reported that discussion panels focused on women’s health, LGBTQIA+ health, and men’s health.

“Sex Week’s centerpiece is the Sexploration Tent, featuring activities such as raffles to win vibrators and comprehensive kink guides,” the Trojan reported, adding students were able to discuss “topics that are usually taboo” under the tent.

“Sex Week closed with Sex After Dark, an event featuring performances from drag queens and the Trojan Men, alongside challenges like a dildo-making contest,” the newspaper reported.

The cost to attend USC for the 2026-27 school year is $103,162, according to the university’s website.
